π΅οΈββοΈ Save and follow searches
Another feature I wanted to add for some time - you can now follow searches! There is also another search type π
With the new saved search feature you can create a search that acts like a normal feed. Saved searches show up in the sidebar above your other collections and behave the same way as normal feeds! As soon as there is a new item you will be notified with an unread badge as usual. Any search that can be performed can also be saved.
To add a saved search just do a normal search and you will see a button that let's you save the search. There is a new way of searching called "Web" that makes complex searches way easier than the "Advanced" mode. To learn more about how to use the search feature there is a new help area directly below the search form where all the different modes are explained.
After you created a saved search, you can give your search a different title by opening the search from the sidebar and navigating to the settings (the βοΈ in the tabsβ¦). This title will show up in the sidebar instead of the query. There you can also delete a saved search.
For now there are three saved searches included - not much, I know. Maybe the limit will increase in the future. You can combine multiple terms into one search if you can get away with it for now.
I think the feature can be quite useful for job searches, if you are looking for something to buy or if you want to track a topic accross all your feeds.
Thank you for tuning in, till next time! π
